Is it free to register?

Where's my activation key?

After you register for an account, you should receive an activation key in your email. Please don't forget to check your spam folder. If you don't see it anywhere, please contact us for further assistance.
 

I can't remember my login info. How do I get my username sent to my email?

Why can't I login?

If you've entered in the correct login info and you believe this is an error, please contact us so we can help you figure it out.
 

How do I delete my account?

Log into your account and select "My Profile". At the bottom of your profile form is a Delete button which will permanently delete your account and any files, info, or preferences associated with it.
 
Resumes

Is my resume private?

You can control the privacy of your resume. You can even post it anonymously or choose who gets to see it. Only employers have access to our resume database. You should never include social security numbers, credit account numbers, or bank account information in your resume.
 

How do I edit/delete my resume?

Log into your account and select Post/Edit Resume. Next Select the resumes you'd like to edit or delete. You can edit resumes one at a time or delete all resumes at once.
 

Is there a fee to post or upload my resume?

No. Resume posting or uploading is a service provided to job seekers free of charge. However, if you'd like more exposure and have the ooportunity to have your resume seen by more employers, you can upgrade to a Priority Resume. A Priorty Resume gets top priority in our resume database search results and are shown above all average resumes.
 
Job Search

How do I get more search results?

Here's how it works, the more preferences you enter into the search form the more narrow your results. You'll get the most search results when only searching by keyword.
 

How do I get exact search results?

On the advance search form, located under the keywords field you can select "match exact phrase", "match all words", etc.
 

Is there a way to sort or refine search results?

Yes. Using the bar above search results you can sort by Title, Company, City, or Post Date. You can also refine the search results using the links to the left of the search results.
 

How do I search by company?

Go to "Find jobs" on the navigation menu. Links will appear below. Click on "Browse Companies".
 

Is there a way to save jobs that I find, for later viewing?

Yes. In your search results you'll see a "Save Job" link below the listing. You can access all your saved jobs from your account.
 

Is there a way to save searches?

Absolutely! When you perform a search, you'll see a bar above search results with a link to save searchs. You can access your job search list from your account.
 
Job Alerts

What's a job alert

It's a free service that searches job listings for you and automatically alerts you be email of new job listings that meet your search preferences.
 

How do I setup Job Alerts?

  1. Log into your account and select Job Alerts.
  2. Click on "Add New Job Alert".
  3. Create a name for the job alert.
  4. Enter in your preferences.
  5. Set your email frequency preference based on if you'd like to be notified daily, weekly, or monthly.
  6. That's it, you're done.

 

How do I stop Job Alerts

  1. Log into your account and select Job Alerts.
  2. Find the job alerts you wish to stop.
  3. You can either delete or choose "disable" to temprorarily stop the job alert.
  4. You can also edit the job alert to change the email frequency.

 
Applying for Jobs

Is it free?

Yes it's free to apply to job listings.
 

How do I get information about the company?

On the page of the job listing, to your left is a link to the company's profile.
 

I've submitted my resume. Why haven't they responded?

Hopefully you'll hear something soon. An employer may get a large quantity of resumes submitted to them and may need time to carefully review them all. It's at the employer's descretion to send replies to applicants. Sometimes they don't send replies, but do keep your resume on file.
 

Why is the employer asking for personal information and requiring a fee?

You should never give out your social security number unless you have confirmed that the company is legitimate. If a company is requiring a fee, please contact us so we can investigate the issue. To learn ways to avoid fraud and job scams, click here.
 
Private Messages

How do I send a private message?

Log into your account, click on "Private Messages", and from there you can send a private message if you have the recipient's username.
 

How do I stop someone from spamming my private inbox?

Please login and contact us usung the contact form. Provide us with their username and we will help resolve the problem.
 

I sent a private message and got no response. Was it delivered?

Most likely the receiver hasn't opened your message yet. Otherwise, they may have chosen not to reply at this time.
 
Accounts

Is it free to register?

Yes it's free to register for an account.
 

Why is my account inactive?

New accounts must be activated. Please check your email and spam folder for your activation key. If you've already activated your account once already, please contact us for assistance.
 

How do I manage account access for my staff?

From your account area you can setup Sub-User Accounts for your staff or other users. You can also set permissions for each user.
 

How do I change my username?

Usernames are permanent. A new username requires a whole new account.
 

I forgot my username, how do I reset my password?

We can reset your password by sending a reset link to your email. Please contact us for further assistance.
 

How do I change my password?

Your password can be changed from your Profile Page.
 

How do I delete my account?

Here's how: Go to My Account > My Profile. At the end of your porfile page you'll see the delete button. This will permanently delete your account, all files, preferences and info associated with your account. This action can not be undone.
 

How do I upload my logo and change my company description?

This can all be done right from your Profile Page.
 
Job Posting

How do I post jobs?

From the My Accounts page, click on "Manage Jobs", then slect a listing option.
 

How do I upgrade or manage my job listings?

Go to: My Account > Manage Jobs. Find the job listing you wish to manage. You'll see some options below. You can Preview, Edit, Clone, Activate, Deactivate, Delete, or Upgrade your job listing.
 

How do I import jobs in bulk?

  1. Go to My Account.
  2. Click Manage Jobs.
  3. Click "Bulk job import from exl/csv file".
  4. Select a listing package.
  5. First you'll need to download a Job Import template. Whatever your preference, EXL or CSV.
  6. After you download the template file, open the file and enter in the joblisting info for each job you wish to post.
  7. When you're done, save the file. You can name the file whatever you want. You're ready to import your jobs in bulk.
  8. From the Bulk Job Import page, click the Choose File button, find your file and click open.
  9. Select Import to start the import.

 

What's a Screening Questionnaire?

A screening questionnaire is a list of questions used to screen applicants. You can create the questions, the answers, and choose the passing score. This is a free service.
 

What are featured and priority job listings?

Featured job listings are upgraded job listings that are also advertised on our homepage. Priorty job lisitngs are upgraded job listings that are given top priority in job search resulst or average listings.
 

Can I upload photos with my ad?

Yes. You can upload up to 3 photos.
 

Can I post business opportunity or work at home ads?

No. Business opps, work at home, or mlm, are not actual jobs. We do not allow these type of ads on LocalJobseek. The job seekers that come to our site are looking for real jobs from companies that are hiring. We only allow job ads for actual wage paying jobs. We review job postings. In the event a job ad is removed due to violation of our terms, a refund will not be given. You can upgrade your listing from your Manage Jobs page.
 

How do I renew my ad?

To manage your ad please go to your My Jobs page.
 
Resume Search

How do I get access to the resume database?

You must subscribe to the Resume Database subscription plan. You can do this from your Subscriptions page.
 

What are resume alerts?

Resume Alerts is a free feature that searches the database for resumes for you and alerts you by email when resumes are posted that meet your search criteria. You can create resume alerts from your Resume Alerts page. You can also setup the frequency of delivery to your email whether you want delivery daily, weekly, or even monthly.
 

Can I save searches?

Yes. You can save your search from the search results page. You can manage your saved searches from your Saved Searches page.
 

How do I narrow or increase search results?

Are RSS feeds available?

Yes. You can either get feeds by clicking on the Feeds link on the navigation bar. Or subscribe to RSS feeds from your saved searches by going to your Saved Searches page and clicking on the RSS icon.

It's a feature that enables you to accept, reject, and track applications to your jobs.
 
Subscription Plans

How do I add another subscription plan?

You can do this from your Subscriptions page.
 
Notifications

How do I turn modify or turn off notifications that are being sent to my email?

You can do it from your Notifications page.
 
Billing

On my Billing History page I see transactions that are pending. How do I complete those transactions?

Near each transaction under "Actions" is a link to complete the transaction.
 

How do I delete transactions from my Billing History?

Old billing history is purged automically by the system.
